Christian Music Videos on “Weight” (physical pictures of Spiritual Life)

Did you know that the original Hebrew word that we translate as “glory” in the Old Testament literally means “weight”?  It was used an idiomatic expressions to convey the great significance of a person or thing.  We’ve used similar expressions in American culture:  “He’s the big man on campus” or “She’s phat” or “That’s heavy!”  But, of course, only the Lord is able and worthy to carry all great significance.  Everything in His creation may have great qualities, but they are holllow compared to the Almighty, holy, gracious King!  May the following music videos and related Scriptures equip and encourage you in His glory.

Whenever the living creatures give glory, honor and thanks to him who sits on the throne and who lives for ever and ever, the twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne and worship him who lives for ever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say:

“You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.” (Revelation 4:9-11)

He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.   For by Him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through Him and for Him.   And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.  And He is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent.   For in Him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through Him to reconcile to Himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of His cross. (Colossians 1:15-20)

(Jesus), though He was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men.  And being found in human form, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.   Therefore God has highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,  and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:6-11)

“I will tell of the decree: The Lord said to me, “You are my Son; today I have begotten you. Ask of Me, and I will make the nations your heritage, and the ends of the earth your possession.” (Psalm 2:7‭-‬8)

Then the Spirit lifted me up, and I heard behind me the voice of a great earthquake: “Blessed be the glory of the Lord from its place!”  It was the sound of the wings of the living creatures as they touched one another, and the sound of the wheels beside them, and the sound of a great earthquake.  The Spirit lifted me up and took me away, and I went in bitterness in the heat of my spirit, the hand of the Lord being strong upon me.   And I came to the exiles at Tel-abib, who were dwelling by the Chebar canal, and I sat where they were dwelling.  And I sat there overwhelmed among them seven days. (Ezekiel 3:12-15)

Since we have the same spirit of faith according to what has been written, “I believed, and so I spoke,” we also believe, and so we also speak, knowing that he who raised the Lord Jesus will raise us also with Jesus and bring us with you into his presence.  For it is all for your sake, so that as grace extends to more and more people it may increase thanksgiving, to the glory of God.  So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner self is being renewed day by day.   For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.” (2 Corinthians 4:13-18)
