Most Christians probably tend to focus on the New Testament. After all, that’s where we see the Lord Jesus most clearly (even though He was working throughout the Old Testament times, too.)
Yet virtually every person, event and subject in the New Testament comes to us against the backdrop of the Old Testament: the Hebrew people, their language, their religious practices, and more. This website can be very practical to those of us who aren’t familiar the Old Testament and its many nuances.
By God’s grace, as you study the Hebrew culture more and more, I believe you will come to see why and how God chose to use that particular time, place and people to begin unveiling His sovereign plan to the world.
